THIS IS NOT A COMMISSION BASED STORE ANYMORE! This use to be a commission based environment job when I first started but that got taken away because a lot of sales associates there are very territorial and will passively bully you if they think you are trying to take their sales or you are effecting their sales and management will never do a thing about it. It was so bad even the customers knew we were on commission and they were uncomfortable at time so the owner took away commissions. Pay is low hourly and with the monthly bonus that was implemented in place of commission it is still barely enough money for you to be able to live off of if you have a family and live in that southern Fairfield county area. They also require you to work on Saturdays to be considered a full time employee, even if you have a super valid reason on why you can not. You will NOT be considered full time even if you work 40 hours if you don't work on Saturday and you will only receive part time benefits, you will not get the full bonus amount that is usually given as the monthly bonus and you will only receive 5 PTO days a year. You will ask for a review or raise and they will say yes at first, string you along and then months later say no or change their minds. The customers that shop in this store can either be super nice and friendly or they are rude and difficult. Most women that shop here are a little racist and also sexist and will almost always want a mans opinion even if you are a super knowledgeable woman. A lot of the employees there are passive aggressive and will talk poorly about you to other coworkers and still smile in your face... if you choose to get a job there remember- no one is your friend.
