Pros

You can work from home and avoid toxic people.

Cons

It was my fourth job, the worst by far, the reason? Clueless and weak people on the top, they are pretenders and parasites instead of experts and they think people don't see shocking gaps in management's technical expertise. Experienced, experts please stay away from this company . Don River is filled with full of bad bad management and they will eat and throw you away or they make you stay with false promises, but they do it with smile and pretend to be friends. No career prospect if you are out of the boys / family zone. They are yet to realise that company is strong when people work with each other and not against each other and for themselves. Manager backs up manager and the bottom of the chain employee is always the one to take the heat, if something goes wrong it is never ever management fault and in Melbourne office they will even shout to tell you that. Half of the time is spent pointing fingers and deflecting. Full of destructive politics and culture that lacks transparency, collaboration, respect, trust and care. Most developing work is copy paste from previous projects, a lot of time is wasted on doing nothing.

Pros

None, there is really nothing positive to say they suck. I have to put 20 words but nothing positive to say.

Cons

Lack or recognition of efforts due to management too busy playing politics or looking after their own interest. 90% of people hate working for Don River. Teams don’t communicate with one another and no one is willing to take/accept responsibility. Too much time is spent pointing fingers and deflecting. There is no transparency, collaboration, respect. They Love to lie to customers and tell them work is being done in Australia, UK and United States and reality big chunk it's done in India and Russia by a low skilled workforce.

Pros

Salary is Ok and you get work flexibility (working from home) No targets, Management doesn't know what you do and how long will take what you do so you can do very little.

Cons

Politics, politics, politics Blame culture, no one taking responsibility for mistakes, projects are not planned well enough which causes a lot of issues. Too much trust is in hand of what is called „friends and family circle”, promotions are only for managers pets You work more you get less Lack of communication and transparency
