Pros

Principal tries to make her vision come true. Most of team tries to be supportive . The Coach who sees the truth and is supportive .

Cons

So many! Mislead when accepted the position. No support and ridiculous trainings that take your valuable time from accomplishing important tasks to be successful for your students. Students, and parents with chips on their shoulders, and that do not hold their children accountable, run the school. Very unhappy and burnt out staff and teachers, who are not supported, especially in discipline issues in classrooms. I have never seen or experienced anything like this! If you are a lying, crying student or parent you will get your way. Disorganized and not the right kind of support for teachers. I do not need another class on writing, but could have used more time with my team! There are nice teachers who want to do their best, parents want cookie cutter teachers who are also robots with no mind or skill of their own, as does admin. This is not a great academic school in any way! It’s a joke and standards must not be high to receive the rating, or the owner paid them off! Speaking of the owner, evil, liar, who knows nothing about the classroom or what it is like to be a teacher. She is horrible to teachers! I guess money really does buy anything, especially misleading ratings and descriptives. She has mishandled funding and should be held accountable! But then again, she sets the precedent, as students are not. I did not know how bad her reputation was when I accepted the position, but learned quickly. Such regret! Like I said, no accountability for students and the “Discipline system” and card system is a joke, as is the department that handles this. This school is exactly what is wrong with this country! I am not sure why people stay, most are grumpy, bitter, complacent or have been made to feel like they can’t do better. Highest and fastest turnover I have ever seen anywhere. Three of us from the same team left the same year for a reason. Run fast! Do not work here as a teacher!

Pros

Talented, caring teachers who prioritize student learning and are great to work with.

Cons

The ownership of the school is self-serving. This trickles down in decision making that leads to ineffective leadership. Administration is inconsistent and I have seen many decisions made that aren’t in the best interest of kids and then a lot of deception when communicating with staff and parents. The teachers are great. They should all be working somewhere else.
