Pros

Had a few when I started with the organisation but realised that was just a facade until the training got over and the entire management showed their true colours.

Cons

Old management sitting their doing nothing but playing mind games to such an extent that you'd automatically resign and they get their way, you have to be a teacher's pet here to get your way else, your entire journey in the organisation will be very very difficult like mine was. They have such big so called mottos and aims for the employees but, they do not like to work with strong individuals who have their own opinion, they just want a puppet who'd agree to each and everything they say and if you do so....you're lucky my friend! You'll get your way through the hierarchy. They will have people (teacher's pet) spying on you when they're away to make sure what you're doing and not then that will indirectly impact you in some way or the other and it will never be brought to your notice until they find very very petty things that they pile on and create a huge escalation for you without any prior warning or notification. I have decided to quit for this reason and only this! It's so frustrating so even think that need to wake up tomorrow and work for these people (don't qualify as humans to me) as they don't even care when you're sick, nobody is gonna ask you if you're doing okay? They'd ask you when will you login? Do you know this will be marked as an unplanned leave? I need to plan my sickness as well. Crazy level of micro micro management and yes I said micro twice because it's that bad!

Pros

- Established company with a long history and relatively stable business operations. - Provides a sense of job stability compared to many organizations navigating rapid changes in the current AI-driven market. - Lower risk of frequent restructuring or large-scale layoffs than many high-growth technology companies. - Opportunity to work with experienced employees who have deep institutional and domain knowledge. - Predictable work environment that may appeal to individuals seeking long-term stability over rapid change. - Strong choice for professionals who value job security and a steady career path in an uncertain economic climate.

Cons

- Documentation is limited or rusted, and many operational processes lack clear runbooks or standardized procedures, making onboarding and troubleshooting more difficult than necessary. - If you're coming from a modern, fast-paced engineering environment, the organization may feel behind current industry practices and tooling. - Internal politics can sometimes outweigh technical merit or execution. - There are teams with very long-tenured employees where change and innovation can be difficult to drive. - Decision-making often involves multiple layers of approval, resulting in significant bureaucracy and slower execution. - Processes can move slowly, and collaboration is not always transparent across teams, leading to inefficiencies and occasional confusion around ownership. - In some areas, roles, responsibilities, and operational processes are not clearly defined, creating unnecessary chaos and inconsistent ways of working. - Engineering standards and best practices vary considerably between teams, making cross-team collaboration challenging. - Organizational change tends to happen slowly, which can be frustrating for employees who are focused on modernization, automation, and continuous improvement.
