I learned a lot about housing and I advanced quickly. They also have decent benefits.

It's work from home, so if you're not equipped to work from home it can be difficult.

Pros

The work itself is extremely important. Employees are doing work that directly impacts people in need, and that part of the job matters. There is purpose behind the work, and it can feel meaningful knowing that the role is connected to helping families and communities.

Cons

In my experience, the company felt disorganized and inconsistent. Communication was not always clear, and expectations often felt like they changed or were not explained well. Training was very limited and relied heavily on prerecorded videos and documents, so employees are expected to teach themselves a lot of the role. The company also did not feel very stable, and there was often uncertainty around job security. Senior leadership felt disconnected from the day-to-day workload and what it actually takes to be successful in these roles. It often felt like leadership relied on outdated experience instead of listening to employees currently doing the work. The pay also did not feel aligned with the workload, responsibility, or expectations placed on employees. Although leadership may talk about the company like a family, it is still a job. In my experience, there seemed to be favoritism, and it did not always feel like performance was the main factor in decisions.
