Non-profit is not the highest paying industry.

The work and field is interesting as well as fulfilling. You earn PTO and sick leave quickly and there is a good retirement plan when vested. The members of the organization are very nice. It is a good starting point for anyone first entering the workforce.

Pay isn’t quite up to par with the work you do.-definitely could be better. There is a discrepancy in expectations between departments. Some are held to an extremely high standard while others are not. Staff who have been there for a while don’t tend to be friendly toward newcomers. There isn’t a reliable HR system. Their promotion system doesn’t quite make sense—no training or support when you move up.
