Pros

* Family friendly company * Good size company - small enough to feel like you matter, but big enough for decent benefits and security * Good job security due to a diverse portfolio of project types that can weather recessions * Lots of staff with long tenure

Cons

* They often throw new employees into the fire and hope you succeed * Culture has significantly declined since COVID * A few toxic managers are allowed to stay and ruin their departments or teams * Good ol' boys club & cliques can be difficult to break into

Pros

Diverse project list. Good co-workers. Decent Safety Culture.

Cons

Salary info is only available if a similar job is advertised, if not good luck finding info internally. Raises are calculated in secret and never explained. Promotions are done haphazardly with no published info for career growth Secret groups of hand picked employees are given "advanced training" and fast tracked to promotions, a system of implied favoritism.
