Pros
Good way to gain experience, meet some nice people. If you don't need healthcare benefits and can still get them from your parents or if you can get them from your spouse temporary jobs are the way to go.
Cons
Unless assignment is a direct hire, the jobs are probably always temporary (even if they tell you there is an opportunity to be hired permanent). Some people are very competitive to try to get hired permanent (like smile to your face but stab you in your back).
