Pros

Adore is and exiting brand to work for especially now its expanding into physical retail. There’s brand recognition, a passionate customer base, and clear potential for long-term success. For many, it would be a dream brand to work for especially being Australian and having a generous discount and training opportunities.

Cons

The pay rates offered for retail roles are extremely low at or around minimum wage and do not reflect the expectations of the role, industry standards, or the experience many people bring. This creates a significant barrier to attracting and retaining quality team members. Many people who would genuinely love to work for the brand simply cannot afford to accept the pay. It also risks disengagement over time, as team members may feel undervalued despite contributing so much to the business.

Pros

Discount 1 day off every 2 weeks

Cons

The high street office is toxic, and numerous reports of bullying have been swept under the rug. The managers talk about how they don't stand for the mistreatment of people but openly gossip and badmouth their direct reports in the office. They've hired multiple inexperienced managers so they can pay them less which has led to poor leadership and direction. The structure is confusing and leadership seems to have more arguments than ever. It's a chaotic, reactive place that's beginning to have a high turnover of employees. Possibly one to avoid if you're not willing to put up with the above. They made us do a culture survey full of leading questions (like, why do you love working at adore?) that didn't allow for any constructive criticism. And the majority of people I've talked to about salaries are underpaid.
