Pros

ALAW provides a supportive environment for professional development, especially for those interested in the intersection of law, finance, and real estate. Leadership is approachable and receptive to new ideas, and there's a strong sense of collaboration across departments. The firm encourages internal growth, and I’ve personally had the opportunity to take on new challenges and expand my skillset. The flexibility of hybrid and remote work options has been a huge plus, and the company invests in tools and processes to streamline workflows and improve efficiency.

Cons

Like many fast-paced firms, it can be demanding at times. Communication could be improved, but leadership is actively working to address this.

Pros

A decent place to get your foot in the door and gain fast-paced, high-volume legal administrative experience if you are just starting your career.

Cons

Work-Life Balance: The workload is unsustainable. There is a constant expectation to work 60+ hours per week, which frequently bleeds into late nights and weekends. Boundaries are rarely respected. Compensation & Stagnation: Compensation is highly uncompetitive. Many dedicated employees have gone several years without receiving a raise, despite taking on more responsibilities due to understaffing. Company Culture & Turnover: Executive leadership treats the staff like interchangeable objects rather than valued professionals. Because employees are viewed merely as numbers, morale is incredibly low, resulting in a dangerously high turnover rate. Career Growth: Upward mobility is not based on hard work, dedication, or merit. Instead, advancement is highly dependent on favoritism and "kissing up" to management.
