The pay is good. Peers are very strong in tech and judgement.
Cons
AJ is a terrible leader. Made decision with no supporting data. Flip-flop, one day he said we would never go back to 5-day office work, people moved out of town, later he said people had to come back. For those who moved out, suck yourself. In 2023-2024 compensation review, L6+ didn’t get any raise because Amazon did too good. That’s a nice way to say thanks for working hard. I’m still working here because I’m still figuring out where to go next. I will. For working part, it’s damn hard to make decisions. Lots of strong people here. Nobody wants to own a thing, but everybody wants to have their say.
