Pros
- Really good benefits - fully paid Medical and 3 weeks of PTO. - Weekends and holidays are taken seriously. - Fast-paced environment with lots of different projects to work on. - Results-oriented culture - If you like to get work done, you will thrive. - Almost no politics or backstabbing. They hire chill people. - Management will listen to your ideas, and often implement them. - Flat company where you are encouraged to take initiative. - The owner jokes about being a jerk, but in reality he is a strongly principled humanitarian who cares about his people, and those principles resonates through the rest of the company and have a very positive effect.
Cons
Company Wide - Flat company makes the decision-making process a little slow, and decisions tend to bottleneck at the owner. - Too many long, mandatory meetings where nothing important gets done. - Projects are often started and abandoned rapidly as the company pivots, resulting in lots of loose ends. CX Specific - As a Customer Experience person, the flat organization does not help you, because it means you have 7 bosses instead of 1. - Critical decisions and tasks are frequently crowd-sourced to the CX team instead of assigned to a particular person.
