I will try to summarize my exoerience so far, even though it's not long enough to give a comprehensive review but here're my thoughts so far: * People. One of the very few companies that I saw people really helping each other, from dev to support to sales to services to marketing. * You will learn allot. * You will work with some of the best in every speciality, for me I am an Engineer in Sales team and my experience so far is outstanding. * The company has the startup mindset even though it's growing bigger everyday. * As a team member in sales team, the sales process in AppDynamics is amazing, it leaves nothing to chance, and it ensures the prospects (to be customers) get and see a real value before buying anything. * Networking and exposure, in sales team you will deal with people from developers and support up to C level managers in large enterprises. * You will learn that you don't sell a software or implement one, you sell a great value coming from it and that really matters to anyone as it makes your efforts worthwhile. * You will learn allot.
Cons
* As an ex-services person moving to sales engineering, it's challenging sometimes to cope with the sales team pace and vision, you will feel under high pressure at some points specially last month of each quarter but this is a given when it comes to being a part of sales team.
