Pros
Location of the offices is nice and central in Manchester. Benefits are actually pretty good, though the benefits package for working in Hell could be awesome, the job would still suck, same applies here. No real positives about the job, department, technology or leadership though. They're everything that's wrong with the place.
Cons
If you like working in IT do yourself a favour and don't work here. Tech from the dark ages, devs don't even have their own machines, some of the senior management just seem to wing it and shout loudly to detract attention away from their own short comings. Your success is measured by how well you can put others into a negative perception. Self preservation is rife within the department promoting a culture of mistrust, this is especially true at remote sites, they're effectively separate companies that really despise one another.
