Pros

Decent clients to work with. Provided excellent technology to do your job.

Cons

Only people based out of the regional offices can get ahead. Employees in other cities are on their own with little interaction from managers. Company hires too many technical resources then fires them when sales production is down. Company shifts financial failures to all employees by canceling social events and yearly bonuses without notice (found out I wasn't getting a bonus only because it was not on my paycheck when expected). They canceled holiday and summer events because the company is doing poorly. Total budget for both events was $5000. For FY 2017 all employees got enrolled in the Jelly of the Month club (Movie Reference). Yearly reviews are based on the amount of money available for raises not actual performance. You could receive top reviews from all clients and managers, go above and beyond getting certifications and still get an achieves\meets review score because there is not enough money in the budget to give you the raise and bonus that comes with a higher score.

This year was the first in our 17-year history where we did not achieve our aggressive double-digit growth goals. If you would like to discuss more, feel free to reach out to me directly at jeyan.jeevaratnam@avanade.com

Pros

A really nice office with perks and company culture that come from Accenture.

Cons

There is a prioritization with getting certifications and doing a lot of tasks outside of full time client work, just to get promoted. If you are in the bench and it’s a slow season, there is a high risk of getting laid off. You will lose your sense of purpose all for the trendy AI culture. The company thrives on buzz terms and marketing solutions rather than actually solving anything.
