Pros

Avanade might be a good choice for someone at the end of their career. It is not a good place to gain experience and build a career.

Cons

Unsupportive and unresponsive leads and managers, training targets that are always on the move and therefore never mean anything once complete, no yearly bonus or perks for new employees (analyst level), impossible to get work that actually aligns with your abilities, a review process where you just review yourself, talented people excluded from promotion or advancement because they didn't volunteer their weekends on behalf of the company that year, and in general you can expect to be treated as disposable labor on the project you are assigned. The list goes on. Good luck finding a reference when you try to leave. Avoid at all costs.

We are actively transforming our performance management process to move away from an emphasis on formal annual reviews and ratings to regular check-points and career discussions where individuals are receiving feedback all year long. The goal is to embed feedback, and career conversations, into everyday interactions. And it’s a two way street – we encourage our people to actively seek input from their managers and to also give feedback to those they work with and for. It’s a culture shift and one we think will have a significant benefit to everyone who works at Avanade.

Pros

A really nice office with perks and company culture that come from Accenture.

Cons

There is a prioritization with getting certifications and doing a lot of tasks outside of full time client work, just to get promoted. If you are in the bench and it’s a slow season, there is a high risk of getting laid off. You will lose your sense of purpose all for the trendy AI culture. The company thrives on buzz terms and marketing solutions rather than actually solving anything.
