Really sad sales culture, old boys culture, hiring women to cover - Business Development Avanade Employee Review

Pros

If you are looking for a job where you will work with great people and have tons of support, Avanade is a pretty good place.

Cons

If youre in sales, stay clear of this mess. You'll always play 2nd fiddle to Accenture and only management can close big deals--they will take your business, raise your target and provide little to no support. Oh, and they love VP's--tons of tons of upper management who I heard regularly say, "do these people actually know how little we do here?" Lazy tech leaders who think only of themselves. They've tried to hire women is sales to offset the boys culture but the women end up behaving like the good old boys culture. Stay clear!

Pros

A really nice office with perks and company culture that come from Accenture.

Cons

There is a prioritization with getting certifications and doing a lot of tasks outside of full time client work, just to get promoted. If you are in the bench and it’s a slow season, there is a high risk of getting laid off. You will lose your sense of purpose all for the trendy AI culture. The company thrives on buzz terms and marketing solutions rather than actually solving anything.
