Pros
Company has been around since the mid 1970's, so there is longevity. Human resources department is stellar. Marketing department has improved under new leadership. Technology division is really good.
Cons
Antiquated business practices; fear of risk to try to modernize. Competition is WAY ahead with both market presence and go to market strategies. Fear of investing in the right things to grow the business(marketing, industry event presence, technology development). Leadership communication is not great and they lack clarity in their messaging when they do say anything. Everything is extremely silo'd. CEO focuses too much on the day to day minutia vs. going out and growing the business and also investing in the parts of the business that have the highest potential for revenue growth(no clear growth mindset). No career development process in place. Business support staff not optimized (a lot of human capital overhead). If you are a newer employee, it feels like you are expendable.
