Pros

Remote work environment, if tech savvy many softwares used to learn from and plenty of vacation days

Cons

The favoritism of certain individuals within teams is very much palpable. If you know who to surround yourself with, and don’t challenge the status quo, there is growth for you in the company. However, if you don’t belong to that little circle, you will find yourself having a hard time growing your career and getting the promotions that you deserve. They pride themselves in being a company that doesn’t overwork their employees, but that is nowhere farther than from the truth. You will be expected to work very late night hours depending on your manager. Very toxic work environment, even when it comes to internal misconduct, which I have seen get swept under the rug since the employee that was the reported generated revenue for the company. Detrimental to your mental health. There is very low or no budget, however the certain individuals that belong to the little group mentioned above overspend in doing trips and drinking as team bonding. Major disconnect between leadership and regular employees. You will be left in the dark for most important announcements. And even if the CEO says, there will be no layoffs, trust that he’s planning to do layoffs. It has happened for two years in a row. People that are not performing well, or can keep up with day-to-day routine work will be kept in their high positions since they are their managers pet.

Pros

There is a lot of new leadership breathing newness into the company. There is a rebrand on the horizon, different focuses and positioning, complimentary portfolio products, brilliant staff, new company values and more.

Cons

There has been a ton of change and while the new leadership is great, they are still getting their touch on things. This isn't all so much a con in general as it is to absorb, communicate, explain and soak in.

Pros

- BC hires great people - Is finally focusing on the product and its ideal customer rather than trying to be a product that it isn't. - Supportive culture - Good work life balance - Senior and Director leadership is caring and supportive - Really positive outlook for the product

Cons

- Has cut 10% of staff every year for the last 3 years and last year they cut most of their top performers that brought in the most revenue - No 401k match (although they may now) - Lower pay than most tech companies for the same roles - Either BC has the right people in place or they have the right direction to work in with the right leadership but never both - If you are remote, you aren't invited to the office much even for kick offs or planning. So you will feel a bit secluded. - Not much room for career growth as they keep cutting people
