Opportunity to truly shape your role and learn new things Some staff are stars - intelligent and great personalities who'll have your back Most managers will be fine with you just delivering your job - if you can make it more efficient, then that's your benefit
Cons
If you're in Australia, you'll be ignored by the global organisation but not in a good way - you'll still be told to register for US-only systems, get emails that only relate to US-staff, have your computers reconfigured to US date format and you'll have to wait until 1pm to call IT etc. Management at all levels punishes feedback (unless they can shrug and say "not my job").
