Pros

Free drop in classes Great instructors!

Cons

I’m not kidding when I say this was the worst job I’ve EVER had. I was basically a glorified janitor. The front desk associates are subject to often unreasonable sales quotas, which is the biggest scam because we don’t actually benefit from making sales. We were responsible for running the entire studio and keeping it clean on top of sales, but were payed minimum wage. The management team was disorganized, unprofessional, and lacked empathy. I honestly don’t know what they do all day. The training process was inadequate, forcing me to teach myself most of the tasks due to inconsistent information from management. They once tried to incentivize us with an employee of the month competition that had a cash prize, but it was a fake incentive and was never brought up again. The turnover rate is high, and many employees frequently called out due to the toxic work culture and low pay. Management threatened to cut instructors hours for taking sick days. Customer service was poor, with management often refusing warranted refunds. There were many times when I had to tell a customer that I would give them a refund if I could but management wouldn’t allow it. There were multiple incidents of compromised personal and payment information. Employee complaints about management were constant. Overall, it was a highly negative work experience and I would rather be homeless than work there.

Pros

Flexible work schedule, amazing coworkers, friendly environment, good music, studios almost always smell nice, free classes

Cons

Not many. Every now and then you’ll get a client who is difficult in the studio and there are occasional salty e-mails from clients but 9/10 are just happy to be here.

Pros

Free classes, lots of downtime, nice instructors and clients

Cons

Issues with management. Almost no time off, little notice for shift changes and schedules. Management can be difficult to work with and very absent at times. No clear communication with sales promotions, company policies, pricing, etc.. Inconsistent with pay periods and structures. No paid time off or holidays. The company can be misleading with who receives benefits and who does not. Some team members received paid time off and health insurance while others did not. HR employees would be out of office/absent for weeks at a time, making it difficult to get answers about late paychecks and pto. Overall really inconsistent with treatment and pay for employees and lacked a lot of transparency from leadership.
