Pros
SPEEA Union protected job. Work life balance is pretty amazing. Very flexible with flex time, Personal Business time, and Overtime (Time + $6.50). Amazing health benefits that cost from $0 - ~$300/month with 10% (for my age) matching on 401K! FREE college with the Learning Together Program. Minimum 2% salary increase each year. And so many more perks.
Cons
Mandatory 5 days in the office, Mandatory OT, lower pay than most software engineers in the region at big tech. Union negotiated raise pool of only 3% (hoping for more with new contract!)
