Pros
Health coverage is decent, but not exceptional. If it was a good year, you get a very generous bonus at Xmas time. Owner is very lenient about needing to miss for doctor's appointments etc. Owner is extremely knowledgeable about masonry and explains it well. Large opportunity for overtime.
Cons
Outdated systems and inconsistent policies lead to constant miscommunication and mismanagement of orders. Aging work-staff is not willing to work hard and has grown complacent. Customer Service Rep's actively ignore phone calls and customers. Several bad unionized employees are never punished for tardiness/no-call no-shows, great unionized employees are seldom rewarded for their excellence. 50 hours a week + 5 hours on most saturdays.
