Blatant favouritism by management - some team members spend all day chatting, hiding from customers and bludging and get constant recognition and promotions, others work their butts off and are adored by the customers, but are invisible to management. A workplace that encourages gossip/cliques/bullying, where management work by intimidating team (often watching the CCTV for extended periods of time and let team know they're being watched and their actions recorded. Management prefer the young, malleable team members rather than more mature, experienced team - once you reach a certain age, they will go after you and nit-pick your ever move, to try to break your spirit and get rid of you.
