Pros

The people that are out in the field are some of the best in the industry. They truly believe in the mission of the CARFAX brand and care about their dealer partners. It used to be the “best place” to work and employees felt valued and heard. The benefits were top notch and the previous CEO seemed to care about work/life balance and the well being of employees.

Cons

A lot of changes have occurred in the past year in regards to leadership and it has led to a chain reaction of negativity. Narcissism and nepotism has led to the loss of many loyal and talented employees. Many that remain are very negative and perpetuate that attitude throughout. Others are too afraid to speak up for what is right in fear of being black balled. Sales territories are unfairly divided and the sales goals/metrics are the same for each sales person even tho their vastly different geographically and monetarily. This issue has been a point of contention for years with ZERO action taken. The regional account managers are treated like middle schoolers that don’t know how to behave at recess. They are micromanaged and tasked with meaningless busy work that comes at the whim of the leadership team. They are the the heartbeat of the company and corporate shows them minimal respect. There has been so much turnover and poor morale that you would think someone in charge would take responsibility but as long as men have egos they will churn thru the talent.

Pros

* Talented and hardworking team members across the department. * Opportunities to gain cross-functional experience and exposure to a variety of projects. * Team members are often supportive of one another despite leadership challenges.

Cons

* Project Services leadership operates with a narrow, rigid definition of what a “successful” project manager looks like, and advancement often depends more on alignment with a specific leadership style than actual performance or impact. * Employees with different cognitive or communication styles, including neurodivergent individuals, may find their strengths undervalued, while his or her deviations from the norm are scrutinized. * There is little room for authenticity. Employees may feel pressure to conform to be seen as leadership material. * Even infrequent mistakes can become long-term reputational markers, with limited opportunity for growth or reset. * A noticeable gap exists between positive performance feedback and actual career progression, even for tenured high performers with strong stakeholder feedback. * Managers are not consistently positioned or empowered to advocate effectively for their team members. * Policies, including hybrid/work-from-home expectations, are applied inconsistently, impacting trust and fairness. * Leadership culture can feel cliquey, with visibility and advancement influenced by informal networks rather than transparent criteria.
