I went through a lenghty recruitement process, including a 4 week screening to confirm past employment, studies, certificates, no criminal record etc. Only to be let go on the last day of my probation period without any feedback or explanation. I was also not the first or the last person treated like this and it's even not communicated that someone left - people just disappear and are not talked about any more. Truly brilliant UK work culture.
