Pros

Remote working, surrounded by peers who are very good at what they do

Cons

- Toxic culture where you are constantly expected to work outside of business hours and lack of support due to everyone having their hands full and having to wear multiple hats - The company struggles to hire locally, so they are focusing on international recruit for cheap labour. Unfortunately this mean culture suffers. - LT take people leaving personally, so they tend to burn bridges and spread negative narrative to those left behind

Cadmus Response

Thank you for your honest feedback; we are sorry to hear that you did not feel appropriately supported during your time working at Cadmus. It is true that because we are a start-up, everyone does have their hands full and many of our people wear many hats. This is quite normal for our stage of company, but that doesn’t make it easy. This is why we focus on hiring talented people who are also kind and supportive: we want to foster an environment where people take care of one another, because working at an early-stage start-up is hard work. It sounds like we may have failed in providing you the level of support you needed to succeed here, and for that, we are sorry. Regarding your comment about hiring internationally: as a business we made a conscious decision to hire the best talent no matter where they were located; this has greatly diversified our team and brought fresh perspectives into every part of the business. We believe this expansion has positively impacted our company culture, and we look forward to welcoming more diverse candidates into our team as we grow. Kind regards, Team Cadmus

Pros

Cadmus does a great job at caring about the people who work there. I always felt like my manager cared about me and wanted me to succeed.

Cons

Communication can get muddled sometimes, so it really depends on your manager.

Pros

Remote friendly, mac laptops provided

Cons

The company has a recurring hire-and-fire cycle, which creates a sense of instability even after candidates go through multiple interview rounds. Performance evaluations often feel subjective and inconsistent, with feedback varying depending on management rather than being tied to clear, measurable expectations. The CPO's management style contributes significantly to this toxic environment. Leadership can be highly micromanaging, limiting engineers' autonomy and slowing decision-making.
