Toxic work enviornment, contract full of Loopholes to warrant dismissal. Employee is required to be BC certified and pay all costs for all applications and fees. Unhelpful HR, Salary capped until BC certified and when certified they do not follow through with promised raise. Tight school budget. Occasional Staff bullying and uwarranted inspections. Occasional dismissal using sick leave and contract hidden loopholes Cut-Throat response to parent complaints. No parking, No staff support plan. Or Training plan, survival. Overworked full timetable and duties no time to rest No comppasion from the get go expandable High staff exit from all departments, All HR replaced withing 3 months.

They paint a very respectful and exciting opportunity to get you hooked in to go. Nice accommodations if you can get them privately. Cool country. Fun experience at the time with many Cdn teachers.

They misrepresent what your role will be. They draw you in by saying you'll be part of a team but they don't want ANY feedback on how they do things, you are their lackey. You do what they want or they sack you. You MUST look good. Any type of dishevelment is cause for being fired. A lot of show without substance in quality education Cheap - you don't even get photocopying rights Real Muslim/Western Teachers divide Not many Canadians working there anymore, a lot of South African Teachers (who stick together) War in the region now
