Pros

The job is stable for the long term. Work environment generally nice, but depends on the project to a great extent. If you are in the right location you might get the chance to take part in big projects for big clients or the goverment. Learning courses and training are usually covered by the company and these are encouraged by management.

Cons

Since its a IT services supplier company, you might be switching from one client to another over the years, without getting the chance to specialise on a particular field. If you love the technical side of things, making your career here is difficult. There is glass-ceiling which is quite low, after that you either settle down or you switch to project-management. Salary is low in general Projects are not technically challenging for the most part. Most of them are maintenance, Greenfield projects are a small percentage of them. work/life balance is not easy, remote working (before COVID) is hard or close to impossible. After COVID things have change a bit, but 100% remote jobs are still rate.

Pros

Pretty flexible. It's cool if you get on a project with a good client, because honestly you will become like a low-class employee at that company who they all dont care about and expect you not to be around very long so if you can deal with that then you can try and have a good time with them.

Cons

Honestly can't believe the audacity and entitlement of the middle management at this place. For example, last year everybody got about 3% merit raises (not at all keeping up with inflation but still something). This year, they were working with the same pool of funds to work with for raises, but made a "business decision" to consolidate the raises to only management. The rest of us got nothing. And the TOLD us they kept everything for themselves. And in addition to that, they twisted the knife by COMPLAINING to the whole department on a department call that their bonuses weren't enough. Just tone-deaf and careless mostly.
