Pros

-Half of the employees you meet are great people and truly a joy to be around.

Cons

Where to begin.... -Company policies are rarely, if ever, followed. It's always at employer's "discretion." -Executive management tends to forget they are an employer and apart of HR (lawsuit waiting to happen). -Management Team does not fully consist of managers that are capable of: managing employees, not creating a toxic and negative environments, not being hypocritical, and accepting being wrong sometimes when employees under them are right at times. This part of management may also be a company lawsuit waiting to happen. Majority of the management team are truly great people at heart and great people to work with, you'd wish to be apart of their team. -Any incentive, bonus, raise, etc. is thrown back in your face when things don't always go the company's way. Owners expect the employees to put the company first. If something is done out of the kindness of your heart, if should never be brought back to one's attention. -Promotions are based on tenure and not qualifications. -PTO/Vacation does not increase once you reach years 5+ (policy would probably change before someone reaches year 5). -Voice your opinion, even in the right way, and someone WILL take it personal.

It’s unfortunate that after multiple years of steady, reliable performance you experienced a change in your perception of the interaction of managers and executive management policy positions. We have applied a great deal of resources (including legal) to ensure that all of our policies put in place years ago, show we take employee needs seriously, while ensuring continuity in company responsibilities. If any policy was not consistent, it was always at the discretion of executive management and always to the benefit of the employee. That is the value of working for a small business. Promotions are not, in fact, based on tenure. While that may be a factor, our employees have all joined us with the full knowledge that they have the latitude to make their job into a position they can make into a career, with the ability to use their talents “outside of the box”. That’s why most of our employees have been with us more than 5 years and many much longer. Lastly, we value that the entire company has transparent and open lines of communication, and we all have no hesitation in voicing opinions. It has been the key to maintaining the close relationships we have. The difference is in realizing we all may not get our way. We all wish you success in your next endeavor and hope that your time spent with us has led to growth toward your ultimate goals.

Pros

CAD truly has a healthy work environment and an excellent company culture. The teams collaborate effortlessly and productively, without contention or personality conflicts. The VP of Engineering is very involved with every engineer’s professional and personal development, as well as, their wellbeing. She is well respected and extremely active in the IT security community. CAD gives you the tools and support you need to be successful. The future continues to look bright as we bring on new partners, services and associates. I actually look forward to coming to work every day.

Cons

This is a dynamic, engaging place to be. It’s not for someone who wants to just punch a clock. My con comments are really for Glass Door. They should not allow one person, who obviously has a personal issue, vent publicly on their platform using different identities. Leave that to non-professional social media.

Pros

Speaking as part of the management team, I can say we have THE BEST TEAM of people, period. Never in the history of our organization have we had such amazing flow and interaction between team members, departments, and management. We have stressful periods where everyone works hard and pitches in, but at the end of the day, everyone's happy and creates a great environment. Feedback is encouraged, and everyone has realized now that their feedback is well-received and not ignored. We've made a LOT of changes in the last few years, in terms of people, processes and tools, and the feedback we've gotten from our team has been great. People hang out together, go to lunch together, share a sense of humor and work collaboratively. Individual (personal and professional) and team goals are recognized and celebrated en mass! Collectively, we've spent a lot of energy building corporate culture in the last year or so, and it's been worth every nanosecond of extra thought and time to make that happen.

Cons

We have our quirks. We're not perfect, and our processes aren't perfect (yet), but the team members contribute heavily now to everything from running meetings to participating in strategy planning. The only real "con" is that we didn't start it sooner.
