Pros

Located in town - no shortage of food options for your daily meals. Sheltered path from TP station so you are covered when it rains, literally.

Cons

Snr management takes a scattergun approach to assigning jobs. You get assigned whatever, regardless of your skills or preference. Management does not remember if you do a good job, a bad job, or do a job at all. Hey, this might be a good thing after all! Depending on the flavor of the day, unless you are lucky to be scattergunned to a high-profile project, you might be doing a lot of work for nothing. Layers of senior management cannot effectively manage each other's expectations, much less those under their purview so this results in a lack of direction; like a wobbly pyramid top that is threatening to take out as many blocks along the way when it topples over. Please don't do this okay.

Pros

Able to understand what it's like working in the public sector.

Cons

No cons for now. I think the staff are pretty nice.

Pros

The work is very geared towards social science majors as it is a lot of demographic data interpretation, literature reviews and report writing.

Cons

None as an intern, as the full-timers really are very friendly and open to bouncing around ideas and challenges. Although the full-time staff seems very overworked.
