Pros

People and relationships and willingness to make a difference

Cons

Lack of direction, multiple rounds of lay offs in the last 18 months , direction is very reactive . Poor senior leaders (in the business and support functions) all led out of the US and zero diversity which is hilarious considering DEIB appears high on their agenda (this is clearly to passify the limited clients they have left. Heavily female led too which in itself is an issue . Lack of equity in benefits across the Globe which leads to resentment and tells you all you need to know about commitment outside of the US. Environment at times felt extremely fake and insincere - since going global the US have messed up the business and damaged the once great reputation of Cielo which is very evident in the external market. Hiring then firing constantly so it’s evident their people and finance processes are evidently broken. No autonomy when managing your team - they would rather you have a mental breakdown than give you resources. Big divide between geographical teams as it’s all about cost and nothing else.

Hello, this is Matt Jones, EVP – Product. As someone who has worked here for nearly 20 years and has never resided in the US, I’m disappointed to read your comments. Though we are lacking some demographic diversity in our leadership team, our commitment and initiatives around equity, diversity, and inclusion have never been stronger. And although settling into our global footprint has been a journey, I’m energized by the collaboration we see across our global team. Cielo has always been committed to the health and wellbeing of our people and we continue to evolve our benefits to ensure people have the support they need. We’ve expanded our time off benefits, provide people with a great deal of flexibility, and incorporate many engagement opportunities for people to be able to connect with one another outside of their work-related interactions. The volatility of the market over the past few years has led us to make some really hard decisions about our team members, and that is never easy for anyone. I’m proud of how we’ve taken care of them in pursuing their next career opportunities and of humbled by how many people express interest in returning. Cielo’s culture is not for everyone, and I hope you find one that you’re proud to represent. If ever you want to share more about your experience, my “door” is always open. You can contact me at matt.jones@cielotalent.com.

Pros

well established clients. Interesting projects; friendly coworkers

Cons

No bonus, no merit increase pay out over the last 4 years. They say they want to strenghten their customer relationships and allocate more to AI but this is the worst way to do it. If your team went above and beyond and secured continuing business the bare minimum is a small merit increase. Growth opportunities for high performing employees will bring you more business. There is nothing to look forward to aside from a paycheck and contract renewal every 6 months.
