Pros

Great employee engagement, training, ethics, and real values. A very modern approach to corporate life, where every employee matters ans has input into the direction of the company.

Cons

Still low on diversity at senior levels but this is being addressed and I appreciate the fact this is not being brushed under the carpet.

Pros

Good pay. Lots of training opportunities to take advantage of. Big interesting projects. Work smart and put yourself forward and you can easily make a name for yourself. Opportunities to be sponsored for last year(s) of degree and receive graduate role off the back of internship. The office culture is very inviting, collaborative and supportive.

Cons

As with any large organisation, it is easy to get lost and fall under the radar. Regardless of which team you start in they were never fully prepared to receive the interns which was bizarre. Prepare for the first week or so to mostly be waiting for tech support. Use the time to get to know the ins and outs of the team and project. Be prepared for senior staff to offload some of their more boring tasks on to you. Some processes are really long winded (especially for HS2) and it is not very efficient.

Pros

- Training is great, you can get onto any course you wish through the online portal. Sponsorship is offered for longer courses (Degree) - Great IT and HR teams - Sense of belonging within company - Company is innovative and is at the forefront of the industry with exciting projects.

Cons

- Graduate scheme is not great. You will be stuck in the same position for 2 years with no progression, there is no rotations despite being promised this at interview stage and you will have to complete very pointless group projects that are time consuming and offer you no real benefit aside from connecting with your peers. - Larger projects offer you limited experience - You may have to move away from home. As a graduate you will not be told where you are going to be located before accepting the position. The company can offer a daily allowance however this is agreed on a case by case basis based on certain criteria.
