Pros

Colleagues are very friendly Most admin staff are nice and helpful Simple hiring process, they'll hire anyone

Cons

Community based work, so lots of time spent on the road, clinicians can get lonely and burnt out from driving Peer shadowing and face to face supervision is low due to the nature of the work, most supervision is done online, this results in low clinical support Management and supervisors only care for KPIs, even if it means taking on a caseload that is not desired, too complex to handle or too far for the clinician Billable administrative work feels like more of a cash grab and a waste of resources at times Job performance is based on the money you bring to the company, not your clinical skills High turnover of staff and management don't seem to want to do anything about it. They'll much prefer to hire new graduates and work them into the ground and repeat the process

Pros

Access to weekly PD, but if you have clients you basically can’t join it There are some lovely supervisors, but you have to cherry-pick which ones because there are few You’ll bond with your coworkers over your misery

Cons

I have never felt so disrespected as when I worked for this company. To them, you are literally just another cog in the wheel. Working for this place affected my mental health so severely that I had to get intensive therapy that I couldn’t afford just to keep myself sane. If you speak up about your workload, management will gaslight you and say you’re just poor at time management and that working in the NDIS is hard The induction process was extremely rushed. There is little to no support even if they promise weekly supervision. Admin is virtually useless and will pass their jobs on to you. You are expected to manage admin tasks such as replying to emails, booking interpreters, and booking clients, etc while also planning for sessions and writing reports. This company is extremely dodgy with travel reimbursement. They charge clients for travel but don’t reimburse yours. When a colleague asked about this, we were told that it’s included in our salary. Extremely exploitative of new grads and international OTs who can’t say no.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We're truly sorry to hear how challenging your time with us was, and especially that it had such a significant impact on your wellbeing. That's not something we ever want for any member of our team. We do appreciate you calling out some positives, including access to professional development and supportive supervisors. At the same time, it's clear that your overall experience fell well short of expectations, and we take that seriously. We are particularly concerned to hear your feedback around workload, feeling unsupported, and not feeling heard when raising concerns. This does not reflect the kind of environment we strive to create, where clinicians feel respected, supported, and able to speak openly. Your comments highlight areas where we need to continue listening, reflecting, and improving. We also recognise your concerns regarding onboarding, administrative responsibilities, and travel reimbursement. Clear communication, structured support, and fair, transparent processes are priorities for us, and it's important that these are consistently experienced across the entire team. We're actively working to strengthen how we support our clinicians, especially early-career therapists, to ensure they feel confident, well-supported, and able to manage their workload sustainably. We genuinely value feedback like yours, even when it's difficult to hear, as it helps us identify where we need to do better. If you would be open to a confidential conversation, we would welcome the opportunity to learn more from your experience. You can contact us at er@connect2care.com.au. We wish you all the best in your future career and thank you again for sharing your perspective.
