Avoid, unless you have no other way to pay for food and shelter. - Pharmacist Coram Employee Review

Pros

Co-workers at the branch level truly do want to take care of their patients. The pay (pharmacist) is very good, but at a cost to work-life balance.

Cons

I am both saddened and relieved to see I'm not alone in my terrible experiences with this company. Training is extremely poor. On-call shifts minimize work-life balance. (Unfortunately this is where the money is, and the 12 workday stretches) Employee satisfaction is absolutely trumped by getting those numbers right. Everything is driven by sales. The only thing that matters is getting the referral and getting it billed. Pharmaceutical care is at best an afterthought, at worst an obstacle. The most extreme turn-over rates I've ever seen (via quitting or getting fired. Take your pick). Policies and procedures are labyrinthine and ever changing. Actual quote: "Yeah, we just wrote this policy up last night in the motel room." Software is difficult to learn and continues to be difficult to use (HcN, the actual pharmacy software). Or old, out-dated, and not used for its actual purpose (Outlook 2003 for patient refill queue management) Lots of lip service and empty promises from branch management (When you have it). Despite the endless meetings and e-mails, communication is horrible.
