Pros
Being a large company with many different business units, everywhere you work at Cummins will look a little different -- norms, scope of work, and practices, vary widely from team to team. But my experience has been filled with a satisfying level of autonomy. I can take initiative and find solutions, create strategies, and create new things that can make an impact and don't feel overly micromanaged. I feel well recognized for my hard work and feel like my leaders are rooting for me. Cummins is big on exploring and growing skills by moving around within the company, so there are many paths upward. The culture is great -- good work-life balance and understanding leaders who have families and lives outside of work.
Cons
Role clarity can often be blurry, there can be times of rapid change that doesn't allow for project continuity, top-down direction sometimes trumps hard work done on lower levels, and overall things move fairly slowly so it can feel like a long, heavy lift to accomplish things in some cases. These are things I've gotten used to and learned how to adapt to and work effectively with.
