Your work is primarily judged on how much time you put on the chargeable clock regardless of all the other non chargeable client facing and administration work you do. Line managing Partners are micro managed to micro manage fee earning staff. No thought is really given to whether the workload is manageable and a culture of fear of not hitting the targets has developed. Wellbeing is said to be considered in the form of fancy intranet forums or dial in hubs...but the reality is ...you don't have time to engage with this as you are too busy trying hit unrealistic/Unhealthy expectations.
