Pros
- WFH most days - Paid overtime - Travel - Talented co-workers/truly nice people - Great Line Manager
Cons
Where do I begin with my time at DAZN. I was hired to work on an exciting part of the business and given the freedom to own my role (Shout out to my line manager). I started and everything looked positive. I knew I was entering a high stress work environment with late nights, unorganised briefs and unrealistic deadlines but the salary and package I felt reflected these downsides. Roll on 9 months, top marks on my performance review and delivered a successful project for the business which was shouted and raved about on internal comms, 2 weeks pass and then thrown on a group call to be told I am no longer needed in the business. This came as a complete shock as the department I was in was under staffed and over worked - using freelance resource (and continues to after mass layoffs). The logic is just insane. I left a secure role to join DAZN and now thrown to the side for no other reason than a business decision. My workload has not gone away (if anything would have increased) so the reason for redundancy confuses myself to this day. A very heartless exit and none of my questions ever really answered to any detail or solid reason about the decision to make my role redundant. Good luck to the people left as it seems like it will be a struggle. Get the feeling this was planned and my fate was sealed almost like it was a plan to hire myself then make my role redundant to save costs on freelance/contract work. Overall, please think twice about joining this business. The rug may get pulled from under your feet at any moment.
