Pros
I was paid plenty of money.
Cons
After being a part of this "cult"ure and surviving it, I am still scarred from the fear, hypocrisy, and verbal mistreatment. If you are not willing to act like an evangelical Christian, you will not fit in unless you learn to lie pretend you are. Or, unless you are related to the owners, then you can do anything you want. It's true. I am not angry trying to defame anyone, I am being 100% honest. I was yelled at so loudly at times, people could hear it many offices away. I cannot tell you how many days I hid in the closet or bathroom and cried. I was expected to do things that no one should have been expected to do and it was very uncomfortable and unprofessional. To those who say this is not a religion or a cult, how about the bibles paid for with company money stacked in the storage room? How would a Muslim or Pagan or Jew feel knowing that? Every time I saw those bibles, they just seemed to out of place. Very unprofessional and, well, just strange. All of the family works there and you really must be extra careful with them and nice to them, regardless of their lack of qualifications to do their jobs. This is a scary place to work folks; it feels real warm and fuzzy when the money is coming in like crazy (which it was for many years), but now that Datron's products are becoming obsolete and the owner can't make it into the office, ever, and there is no more kool aid, it's even scarier. I am so, so glad I got out. It's hard when you have a family, but I am so glad I decided to leave Datron. Every single day I remember the horrible experience I had there for so many years. Now I am healing and hope to be able to trust an employer again. After the lies and the yelling, though, I don't think I will ever trust another employer again. No, I won't ever be the same again.
