Great company culture with rewarding work - Content and Media Strategist Digital Third Coast Employee Review

Pros

DTC is a great place, especially for those who might be looking to pivot from journalism to PR and SEO content creation. With robust training processes and a vibrant company culture, the vibe is very much "show up to work and do your work well, but work is not life." Everyone is friendly and, while there's plenty of opportunity to socialize, all of the activities are optional, so it feels much more genuine. The time is flying by working here!

Cons

As a small agency it can sometimes feel a bit limiting in terms of diversity of employees and YOY raises did not match inflation. Additionally, it can sometimes feel on the verge of over-processed, but leadership is very open to feedback on how to make things more streamlined.

Pros

I have had the pleasure of working at Digital Third Coast for just over 1 year now, and I can confidently say that it's been incredible! From day one, I was welcomed into this happy and supportive company that truly values every team member and their unique strengths they bring to the table. The company culture is one of my favorite things about DTC. Every individual's unique strengths and successes are consistently being recognized and celebrated. DTC's culture fosters a supportive atmosphere and it's evident in daily interactions, from team meetings to casual conversations in the slack channels. While it's never required to participate in non-work related activities/interactions, it's hard not to find yourself enjoying the many personalities at this company - I genuinely like the people I work with and it makes working here even more special. They've been able to retain some of the best, hard working, quality human beings I've ever met. DTC is also committed to the professional development of it's employees as well. I've been given numerous opportunities to expand my skills and take on new kinds of projects. Whether it's training sessions, conferences you get to attend with your team in a fun city, learn after hours opportunities, and more... DTC has encouraged me to grow in my role and stay updated with the latest industry trends. The leadership at DTC is also one of my favorite things to brag about to others. Between our founders, CEO, and team leads/managers, everyone in charge demonstrates a genuine interest in the well-being of employees. Plus, they're really good at what they do, setting daily examples that are not only consistent and organized, but also motivating. Plus, they prioritize the type and quality of clients we take on. This has shown me how much they prioritize having quality, sustainable and diverse work for the whole company. The regular check-ins create a space for transparent communication, ensuring that every team member's concerns and suggestions are addressed. Honestly, it's really easy to want to work hard for my team and this company! Additionally, the work-life balance here is something to be appreciated. The company recognizes the importance of personal time, and I've always felt supported in maintaining that balance. I could write a novel about the positives that come with being employed at this company. Overall, I'm just truly grateful for DTC and I'm so happy I get to work here. If you're looking for quality people, a supportive and fun culture, and a great place to grow and work for... this is it!

Cons

The only thing I could say here is tracking time can be a learning curve for some at first!

Pros

DTC is a small company driven by making a measurable difference for their clients. If you work hard, your hard work will be noticed and appreciated. The owners care about their employees and the culture is outstanding. They are willing to train, give you room to grow, learn from your mistakes, and provide almost anything you need to become a better SEO. If you like working with a variety of clients, this is the place for you. The company truly listens to the feedback employees have with a TinyPulse survey that is taken once a week. This is the first time I have worked at a company where I can honestly say that I love everyone I work with. All of the employees at DTC are incredible individuals. The office atmosphere is fun, full of humor and positive energy. The office building is a hip, converted two-flat with a rooftop patio, a full bar upstairs and a break room loaded with snacks. Happy hour Fridays feel like I am hanging with friends and not just my co-workers. They offer full benefits, and they give you an $800 flight voucher every year to take a vacation. If you want to work for a small company that is driven to succeed, where you can grow professionally--DTC offers these opportunities.

Cons

The workload can be tough to manage, but they are will listen if it is unmanageable and offer help.

It's so great to hear that you feel such a great bond with your teammates. It's very rewarding personally to hear that, and thank you for taking the time to leave some comments. I'd love to say that the ebb and flow of the workload gets easier over time, but it can be very dynamic at times. There will be times when there's not enough to do and others where there is too much. Over longer stretches of time it evens out, but it doesn't make it easier when you're in the thick of it. Thank you for the feedback.
