Pros

They charged their customers a lot so the payout was decent. But certainly not worth the abuse or the gossip or the horrible management and dangerous working conditions.

Cons

1) management was inconsistent and flakey. Within the first couple of months working there, management changed 3-4 different times because they couldn't keep any respectable human beings around. 2) unsafe work conditions. Imagine packing 5 groomers in a very small room with 20 dogs and then forgetting to pay the electricity bill during the summer so our grooming salon spiked to 85 degrees. Exposed outlets, broken equipment 3) they do not train their staff to properly book so as a groomer you can be stuck with a 3 dog day or a 9 dog day, depending on who messed up with the booking 4) owners are vindictive and unprofessional. Have heard them gossip about multiple employees to other employees and have heard them call their highest grossing groomers horrible names 5) irresponsible management did whatever they could to cut corners.

Dirty Dogs Response

I'm sorry that you didn't think there was enough communication from upper management while you worked at Dirty Dogs. We hold monthly management meetings (often including assistant managers) and we send regular emails to our manager email group. We also have a What's app thread where we send regular communication. Our managers carry responsibility of ensuring many of these communications get disseminated across the teams. We will continue to work on more ways to communicate so everyone feels valued.
