The Cincinnati affiliate is struggling with a deeply concerning internal culture that has been deteriorating for several years, and it is now at a point where board-level intervention is urgently needed. Multiple employees across different roles and time periods have described experiencing or witnessing patterns of targeting, inconsistent discipline, and leadership behavior that does not align with the values of the organization. A recurring issue is the selective and punitive use of policy, particularly the weaponization of the Employee Handbook, which is often applied unevenly, enforced retroactively, or used as a mechanism to exert control rather than to guide or support employees. Several high-performing team members have been disciplined for actions previously approved or considered normal, while others closely aligned with leadership receive broad flexibility.
