Pros

Made some great friends who were in the same situation as me.

Cons

Honestly, it's embarrassing how little employees make here, especially for a private for-profit company. They trick you into getting a sales job but won't tell you it's sales. No overtime pay.

Thank you for your review. I'm sorry the role wasn't what you expected. Our recruitment process is certainly not intended to "trick" anyone into any kind of role. We're always re-evaluating the way we talk about our roles, and will be sure to always be clear about what a role entails. -- Mike Kaufman, Sr. Director of People Operations

Well this is what it's all about! Early career opportunities while having fun along the way is a big part of what we hope people experience working at EF, and we are happy to hear this in your reflection. Thank you for sharing your note on compensation as well. We review our compensation packages regularly to make sure they align with our industry standards, and we appreciate your perspective on that.

Pros

Large organization with all the associated benefits, still lets products operate individually which builds career autonomy and flexible tech stacks

Cons

Pace of work and lack of focus is unwarranted for industry EF is in, engineering can be disconnected from the broader business.
