Pros

- Great work-life balance, the company genuinely respects personal time and boundaries. - Competitive compensation with a decent paycheck relative to the industry. - Egnyte has built a truly strong, market-leading product that largely sells itself, a testament to the early vision of the founding team. - The company continues to grow, which provides a degree of job stability.

Cons

- Since securing investment from private equity firms GI Partners and TA Associates, the organizational culture has shifted considerably and not always for the better. - Frequent changes in senior leadership, with executives coming and going in short spans, leading to constant pivots in strategy that create significant churn for mid-level managers. - Cross-functional collaboration is structurally difficult, silos exist and communication across teams can be frustrating. - Career growth is notably slow. Employees with 10–15 years at the company may see only one or two promotions across that entire tenure. If upward mobility is a priority, this environment will feel limiting. - Execution and implementation of new initiatives move slowly, making it hard to see the impact of your work in a reasonable timeframe.

Pros

Great benefits and great people to work with. The product itself is a great and superior product.

Cons

No training. No pipeline. No real support for SMB. You are basically a glorified SDR. Any real leads come from events or if you have good install base accounts. Hardly any good inbounds come and and if you do get a good and decent size inbound, they take it away from you to give to a mid-market rep. The juice isn't worth the squeeze. If you don't mind constantly grinding, go for it. Otherwise, I would recommend looking else where.
