Pros

Amazing departmental colleagues Able to work from home at the moment but this will likely change soon. Good health benefits Great Regional Managers who do their best to be stuck in between unrealistic expectations from senior management and burnt out team members struggling.

Cons

It has been made very clear by our most recent Executive member additions and CEO that the people who actually take care of our members and keep them in a club with no availability, are of little to no value to them. The only focuses now are sales and marketing. Just get them in the club, and then we don’t actually care about the rest after that and zero focus on employee bandwidth, retention, or work load. Not to mention that our starting salary of $45k hasn’t changed in 10 years although more and more responsibilities and expectations are added. We used to feel like individuals with varying talents that were appreciated and grown, now we are just stats, data, and output. I guarantee our CEO couldn’t even name half of our team. Our Exec team members are more concerned with trying to look and travel like the actual members they should be serving and pay our bills. Everything here is now about perception and if things “look good on the outside,” even though our department is crumbling inside. A perfect example was our recent ransom ware attack where it was to be kept under wraps from clients while our department was just hung out to dry for two weeks with little to no support…”just do your best. Good luck!” Our special relationships with members was our niche in this industry and now we are so overloaded with clients, we can barely respond to all our clients emails within 24-48 hours. All while we are touting “Platinum service.”

Thank you for your feedback as we take all feedback very seriously. We are proud of our strong culture at Exclusive and the wonderful people we employ. Our leadership team has worked diligently to create an open, transparent, and incredibly accessible work environment and culture. It is disappointing to us that you felt compelled to address your concerns in this manner. As you know, we have a daily zoom meeting where we celebrate accomplishments and proactively, openly share information. We have regular team meetings and there are plenty of opportunities for employees to share feedback internally, both formally and informally, at all levels. We are proud that our organization is doing better than ever, despite the impact the pandemic had on the travel industry. As such, we offer a competitive total compensation package that includes base pay, significant upside through variable compensation, and a very rich benefits program that allows employees access to our portfolio of homes. Know that the Member Services team is at the heart of everything we do at Exclusive Resorts. This is a critical role within our organization, and we sincerely value and appreciate all of your hard work. Transformation of a company is hard, it means change and sometimes that is not easy. We are continuously working on ways to improve and always welcome the opportunity to engage in a constructive dialog with you and address your concerns. We have an open-door policy so please feel free to reach out to me directly, or any member of the leadership team, including our CEO.

Pros

The people at Exclusive Resorts, and within the Marketing department specifically, are one of the biggest highlights. Everyone is incredibly smart, driven, and passionate about what they do, which makes it an energizing place to work. There's a real culture of learning, not just from leadership, but from peers as well. There is also a very collaborative spirit on the team in how everyone rallies together to get campaigns and projects across the finish line. Leadership invests in your growth in tangible ways, through courses and certifications and on-the-job learning if you want to go deeper into a certain area of marketing, and there's always an opportunity to take on more responsibility if you show initiative. You also have access to great tools/technology that help you stay current in a fast-moving industry.

Cons

The Marketing team only partially based in Denver which means leaning on tools like Slack and email more than you would in a fully co-located environment. Collaboration across time zones requires some intentional scheduling and planning, as it would in any remote/hybrid work environment.

Pros

Snacks 3 travel days after 1 year of employment

Cons

I had high hopes when I joined Exclusive Resorts, but unfortunately my experience is disappointing. The culture is increasingly disconnected and difficult to thrive in. Collaboration suffers because many team members work remotely while expectations and communication aren’t always aligned. Rather than feeling like one cohesive team, it feels fragmented. Leadership leaves a lot to be desired. Management is inconsistent, communication lacks, and employee concerns go unaddressed. There is very little transparency around decisions, and morale steadily declines every year. Compensation is pathetic given the expectations and workload. Employees are often expected to take on additional responsibilities without corresponding recognition or pay, contributing to burnout and frustration. Perhaps the saddest part was the atmosphere. There is very little energy or enjoyment in the workplace. Many senior leaders appeared overwhelmed and under constant pressure, which seemed to filter down throughout the organization. It’s difficult to stay motivated in an environment where stress feels like the norm rather than the exception. Exclusive Resorts has talented employees, but meaningful improvements in leadership, communication, compensation, and workplace culture would be needed before I could recommend it as a place to work.
