NO meritocracy. The graduate scheme people (the most incompetent ones) have all the privileges in the company: higher salary, better carrer opporunities and more flexibility and They tend to be the most ignorant and incompetent on the subject they deal with. They are hired based on perception, not knowledge and skills. It's basically a feudal system, where these graduate scheme people are treated like princes and everybody else is not considered. There is a lot of pressure and micromanagement too.
