Pros

The people they hire are very nice. Not a lot of egos other than from the owners. It's a great place to start a career in fashion because you wouldn't know any better. Being treated like you are mindless will seem natural to a very junior person.

Cons

It feels like you are working at the Pentagon there is so much security. Only the security is more suspicious of it's own employees than anyone else. Must wear your badge at all times or else accosted by security. Clocking in and out is a nightmare with a cumbersome manual time correction process if there are any errors, which happen weekly. No training. No growth opportunities for people ready to transition from Senior positions to upper management. They would rather hire from outside. Promotions aren't merit-based, but rather based on friendships and politics. The company consistently pays 25% below market salaries for the same position at other companies. The company claims they have a commitment to their 'low price,' but once you are a global multi-billion dollar company as they have become, I think it would be safe to offer your corporate employees a fair salary. A lot of non-english-speaking employees with no resources to help them grow or acclimate - creates a lot of separation and isolation in the office atmosphere. Many underpaid Korean interns brought from abroad to do low level work with no training, guidance, or opportunities for future. Forced to eat on-campus. No visitors allowed. Office is located in an unsafe part of town. Parking is a nightmare. Most employees have to take 10 min to find a parking space (being constantly redirected by security guards to different lots) and 2 shuttles to arrive at the entrance of the office building. I knew a valuable employee at this company that had been with the company for 8 years, help build a department and only received a $6 raise over that time and 1 insignificant title change.
