- If you work at the CFCs, be prepared to have 20 managers- your direct manager, your branch manager, your regional manager, ops, sales, consumer lending, and be prepared for none of them to be on the same page, but all of them want to “coach” you
-Any position in the centers is only sales based, you will solely be graded on sales and nothing else but will be responsible for all departments and knowing all of their protocols regardless of the fact you have not been trained on any of it. As much as you are given the “Credit Union” speech, do not be confused the only thing that defines you is Sales
-In order to actually hit your goals, you will need to submit almost thrice your goals in loans- be prepared for this as you will face serious requisites for in house requirements compared to dealerships
-Turnover is a disaster at the centers, regional managers lose entire centers of team members at a time and nothing is done
-Managers and Regional Mangers are celebrated for hitting their sales goals regardless of where their team stands, therefore management mainly focuses on their own sales and competing against their team- having worked at several FI’s, this is the only institution I have ever seen do this
-Hail, Hurricanes and storms, if you work at headquarters do not worry as you will immediately be asked to go home (even though it’s the safest building in the network), if you work at a branch be prepared to report to work under any weather circumstance, they will however let you bring your kids to work during the hurricane which is nice and they will also give you several weather updates throughout the storm so you know what the wheather is like outside while you work
-Promotions above the in-branch level are not based on work ethic or goals, be friends with the right person, you will get that promotion regardless of how little you know about the position
