Pros
Good benefits (health, 401k match) Casual dress Nice building Nice people Flexible job description might allow for trying new things
Cons
I was looking to jump to the next level in my career, so I responded to a job posting with the title I wanted. The pay I was offered was not on par with the new title, but I took it to get the title. The job itself turned out to not have anything to do with the title, and it was not a professional position. I was basically treated as a secretary. It seemed because no one could agree on, or decide how to do things, they created my position as a neautral person to create reports for all the departments to the managers. Unfortunately I had to change what I was doing every week because of the lack of alignment. It was very chaotic, and people were rightfully frustrated with it. The managers have crisis style management down, but there was little capability in decision making, consistency, delegation, and motivation. I think the people themselves are good, but they are locked in a culture that isn't working. I didn't see how I could shift it, so I left after a short time.
