Pros
- The team itself are friendly and kind - Convenient location - Inclusive and diverse company
Cons
- Little to no opportunity for growth and learning or promotion. The extremely tight schedules do not allow for post-mortems of any projects to have any real effect, the next project is rushed straight into production right away. - Extremely heavy-handed micromanagement from the highest ranks of management. - Very unrealistic deadlines and schedules leading to stressed, overworked staff. - Upper management does not understand the creative process despite running a creative studio and thus decisions are made without consulting the team and are left to be tackled by the team, causing large amounts of stress, unpaid overtime and poor work-life balance. - Annual and sick leave is promised to be factored into the schedule, however this then always winds up with the employee having to catch up and do whatever work they would have done while on leave anyway. Employees are also contacted continuously during their leave and at unreasonable hours (sometimes as late as midnight) with answers expected immediately. - "Passion" for the project is turned into a commodity. If you miss a deadline due to it being extremely tight or you don't stay back to work unpaid overtime you are deemed "not passionate" and "untrustworthy". - Hard work is rarely, if ever, acknowledged by upper management, except in general sweeping statements that don't highlight anyone's efforts on an individual level.
